Flip Flop Pedi Sox RE-WORKED

Posted by

Hi All,
For those of you who don't follow me on FB, I've been working on a new line, Flip Flop Pedi Sox.  Crocheted socks that have open toes and heel.

I'm a land locked beach baby and I don't like giving up my flip flops for winter.  I have enough friends in Va Bch and the Jax Bch area that I know feel the same way.  Hence, my new line.

I've been posting (on FB) the multi colored jewels as I finish them.  LOVE the colors AND the reaction I've received.  I'm especially pleased & surprised at the reaction from guys.  My husband 'flipped a switch' last night when he exclaimed YOU NEED TO MAKE SOME WITH TOE COVERS.  He had his leather flip flops on with regular socks.  So, I grabbed one that I'd just finished and started adding a toe cover.  THEN another light bulb moment, are they too thick?  Traditionally a crocheted sock is crafted with a larger needle so they WILL be thick.  They are around-the-house-slip-ons to keep your feet warm when you're not wearing shoes.  SO, I have a completely new mindset on my new like!

1) use a smaller needle so they are not thick and will easily slip on with your flip flop/sandal.
2) guys have cold toes xo  I'll be offering my creations with AND without toes.

STAY TUNED!  And thank you for supporting an American Small Business.
